We see the physical scars on others. We tell ourselves that we know exactly what happened. We don’t. We project our limited ideas on situations we know nothing about and we tell ourselves stories that are not true. In our mind, we don’t really care. These stories make us feel better about our lives and congratulate us on our own observation skills. We’ve made others actors in our own world.
