Familiar

When seeing something for the first time, your brain will try to fit it into something that you have seen before and recognize. This is the brain’s way of organizing information. The problem usually comes in is where we associate negative thoughts and feelings for something that is totally unrelated. Many times, if it is too different, we find it immediately scary and unwanted. We never take the time to learn if our initial thoughts are right or not.
