We cling to the past. To those individuals and situations that are familiar to us. It’s the familiar that, even if we didn’t like it, we embrace because, as some people think, the “Known Devil is better than the Unknown Angel.” Our minds seemed to be wired to imagine the absolute worst outcome in unknown situations. If you continuously cling to those things that you know, you’ll never have the opportunity to grow. Without that grow, life becomes stagnant and stale.
