We hide in plain sight. Everybody sees us for who we portray ourselves as and not for whom we really are. This facade is a protective shell that we put up to elicit a response from others. For some of us, it’s a way to protect us from others who want to harm us. For some of us, it’s about creating a world that we find bearable to live in. For others, it’s about trying to be as hidden as you can and not be noticed. What will happen if we let them see our true selves?
