The Marrow Siphon is a disease that tends to be transferred through the touch of inanimate objects. When someone is touches the object, the disease will immediately transfer to the source and, as a matter of course, spread a thin film of itself over the objects held by that source. The only hint that the source and his items are tainted by the Marrow Siphon is that there is a slight sheen in the
sun. Other than that, it is barely noticeable.
Once the Marrow Siphons latches itself onto the host, it will immediately start issuing small tendrils into the skin that work their way to the closest source of bone. In the beginning, the only way that the victim knows that something is happening is that they will feel a slight and constant tingle in the infected area. Most assume that this is a bug bite or some form of rash.
As the infection goes on, the main entry area becomes red and rash-like. The victim tends to become more tired and lethargic. Eventually, a bone-like structure (usually a skull or some sort of main bone in the victim’s body) will start to be formed.
There is no known treatment for the disease and, in most cases, the only resolution is the removal of the infected area and the burning of the items of the victim.
